The Big Reveal!

On June 4, Impact100 Fannin hosted their highly anticipated Big Reveal at the OTF Tavern. The evening began with a vibrant Nonprofit Fair, featuring 25 local nonprofits. Members had the opportunity to engage with each organization, learning about their missions and discussing both past achievements and future plans. The event was a resounding success, with members thoroughly enjoying the chance to connect with these inspiring nonprofits.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of the 2024 Grant Awards, which will total an impressive $160,000. Impact100 Fannin will distribute three grants: one for $100,000 and two for $30,000 each. This remarkable achievement is thanks to the generosity and dedication of our 160 community-loving members.

With these grants, Impact100 Fannin will have awarded a total of $424,000 to benefit the needs of Fannin County. And in January 2024 in recognition of its exceptional service and dedication to the community, Impact100 Fannin was honored with the prestigious “Heart of the Community” award by the Blue Ridge Fannin County Chamber of Commerce. This accolade serves as a testament to the organization’s unwavering commitment to fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our members for making this incredible impact possible!

Grant News!

With the close of membership, the 2024 Grant cycle has begun! Thanks to the generosity of our 160 members, we are excited to have the opportunity to award three grants. One will be for $100,000 and two additional grants of $30,000 each. This means since the inception of Impact100 Fannin in 2022, we can award a cumulative total of $424,000 to local nonprofits! That will definitely make a huge IMPACT in our community!

The first step in the Grant cycle is the Letter of Intent (LOI). This went live on our website for all interested nonprofits on June 6th. The final day for submission of an LOI is June 20th. Once received, the Grant Review Committee will meet to evaluate the LOIs and determine if all are eligible to move forward to the full Grant Application. We are looking forward to seeing what our nonprofits are seeking this year! The grant process will continue through the summer. Our next milestone meeting will be on September 24th when all members are invited to meet our nonprofit finalists, watch their informative videos and participate in a question-and-answer session.

In the meantime, oversight of our 2023 Grant awards is ongoing. Thus far we have distributed $17.076.91 to the local Marine Detachment in support of their work in the community. At our recent Big Reveal, we were able to see the beautiful trailer they now own to store and transport work tools. We have also distributed $4668.69 to CASA as they recruit and train volunteers to support children in Fannin County who the court identifies as in need of this special advocacy. We are having an IMPACT!

Thanks to all our members who make our grants possible! Also thank you to the Grant Review Committee as they prepare to do the challenging work of reviewing the LOIs and full Grant
Applications. We could not do what we do without their dedication!
