Janice recently retired as the President of Marko International, a retained executive search firm based in Atlanta, GA. She founded the company in 1995 and specializes in the hospitality and real estate industries. Her firm’s varied client list includes manufacturers of hospitality goods, international hotel chains, gaming companies, developers and real estate owning and advisory firms.

Janice is a graduate of the Vanderbilt Owen School of Management, receiving her MBA in 1978. Her prior industry experience includes procurement and logistics consulting services in the medical, corporate and hospitality industry.

Throughout her career, she has held major chairperson roles on various Association and Fundraising committees. She was on the International Executive Committee of NEWH and a past president of the Atlanta Chapter of NEWH, an international nonprofit group that serves the hospitality industry through scholarship fund raising, educational efforts, and information exchange. NEWH has over 6,600 members worldwide and has granted over $9.5 million scholarship awards. Additionally, she represented the organization on the International Board of Directors in the role of Corporate Partners and Trade Shows. She has written many articles for industry publications and has taught seminars at conferences including Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas and HD Boutique in Miami, Florida.
