Grant What to Expect

Apply for a Grant – What to Expect

Impact100 Fannin County’s grant cycle occurs one time per year. This year’s 2023 grant cycle will begin in June 2023. Our grant cycle includes a four-step grant application process. The field of applicants narrows at each step, and applicants will be notified of their status at each stage. The timeline of each step is outlined below.  Before starting, review the Grant Eligibility Requirements found in the Grant Application.

Grant Application Process and Schedule

Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI)

The first step in the process is to submit a Letter of Intent.

    • All applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). For your reference, Impact100 Fannin County has prepared a list of required information for completing the LOI. Please see LOI Template available online at our website www.Impact100Fannin.org. The fully completed LOI must be received no later than June 30, 2023.
    • Organizations are allowed to submit only one application per year and must select a Focus Area when completing the LOI to verify they fit within our funding criteria.
    • Following the review of the LOIs, Impact100 Fannin County will select certain applicants to submit a full grant application. Applicants will be notified as to whether or not they have been selected to complete the full grant application. Notifications will be made on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Step 2: Submit a Full Grant Application (Selected Applicants Only)

    • Impact100 Fannin County will provide the online Full Grant Application link to complete. This is a fuller series of questions than submitted in the LOI. All full grant applications must be received no later than August 7, 2023.
    • Impact100 Fannin County will acknowledge each full grant application received.
    • The Impact100 Fannin County Grant Review Committee will review the full grant applications and, following the review, semi-finalists will be notified that they have been selected for site visits on August 29, 2023.

Step 3: Site Visits

  • Site visit dates will be scheduled with each selected applicant. The objective of the site visit is to complete a general due diligence review and to investigate and resolve any final questions. Site visits require approximately 60-90 minutes of dedicated time and should include participation of the Executive Director and Project Manager.
  • Impact100 Fannin County Site Visits will take place during the weeks of September 5 through September 22, 2023. The Non-Profit Liaisons will contact the Semi-Finalists and coordinate dates and times for the Site Visits and any other additional information needed for the Grant Review Process.
  • Following Site Visits, Impact100 Fannin County will select the finalists to move to the final step in the Grant Application Process.

Step 4: Final Decision Process (Finalists Only)

  • Finalists will be notified on October 9, 2023. A public announcement will also be made at that time.
  • Finalists will be given the opportunity to prepare and submit a 10-minute video presentation for Impact100 Fannin County members to take into consideration prior to voting. All video presentations must be received by Wednesday, October 25, 2023, to be reviewed by Impact100 Fannin County members. This video presentation is not mandatory, but highly encouraged, for voting purposes.
  • Impact100 Fannin County members will vote to select one or more Impact Grant recipients. The results will be tabulated, and the Grant Award Recipient(s) will be notified. A public announcement will be made at this time.
  • The Evening of Impact Grant Award Celebration for the 2023 grant cycle will take place on November 13, 2023.
  • Terms and conditions of the distribution of the Impact Grant will be set forth in a Grant Agreement. The Grant Agreement must be fully executed prior to Grant Award distribution.
